At the Dunn Gardens. A stranger was so insistent on taking my picture that I relented, posed awkwardly and allowed her to take a shot. I now see why! The rhododendron is magnificent… and a perfect match with my jacket!
The Dunn Gardens will be offering their signature event tour Sunday, June 26 involving three glorious gardens.
The first is a large 11.5 acre garden that is over 100-years old. The features planned by the Olmsted Brothers in their 1909 plans were realized and recently many have been restored: a stream and the renovation of the woodland garden to name two. Two distinct and different walking trails are available in this garden full of splendid rooms and views.
An unusual and neighborhood landscape full of art that complements the plantings with a glorious view is the next garden on the tour. Guests will complete the tour back at the Dunn Gardens where they will enjoy wine, refreshments to the soft sound of jazz.
