Recently we took on a kitchen remodel. I considered giving up my annual pesto making day because we didn’t have running water, cabinets or counter space. But the thought of not having a supply of homemade pesto in my freezer for the winter was more than I could bare. So I harvested the basil, laid it out on our picnic table, brought out the extension cord and hooked it up to my food processor.
It was such a fun day of enjoying the outdoors, fresh pesto on crackers and my garden. I think I will make it a new tradition!
